About Mike Urgo

A Rhode Island native and now a Connecticut resident, Mike Urgo is a highly qualified insurance agent with years of experience and a diverse background professionally and personally.

Professionally Mike has been a successful entrepreneur as both a consultant and retail store owner. He has worked in the financial industry for over 15 years in lending, retail banking, & commercial development. Mike has worked in non-profit helping to build major fundraising events through volunteer efforts and major gift donations. He has also been at the cutting edge in the healthcare field of compliance and contract management. Additionally, Mike has been a high producing member of the automobile sales industry. Mike also spent over two decades in the restaurant and retail business working his way up through the ranks. Mike now enjoys working directly through Farmers Insurance providing top quality insurance options to individuals and businesses in the local community.

As a leader and volunteer, Mike has given thousands of hours of his time for the betterment of the local community. Mike currently serves as First Selectman (Mayor) of North Stonington CT helping to promote community wellness and execution of the town’s strategic a plan and initiatives. Mike was the Chairman of the North Stonington School Modernization committee, President of the YMCA’s Westerly Dolphins Swim team, & Secretary of the Mystic Rotary Club. He is a Past President of the Misquamicut Business Association and was instrumental in the organization and founding of their signature fundraising event The Aloha Luau. Mike was on the Board of Directors for the Westerly Adult Day Center and the Program of All-Inclusive Care for Elderly or RI. Over the past fifteen years, Mike has been very active in his local parish working as a CCD teacher. Mike has served on The Board of Finance for The Town of North Stonington as well as the Liaison to The Board of Education. He has served as a mentor to a child in the Westerly School system for nine years. He also founded the “Go Green” committee at Westerly Community Credit Union whose purpose was to make the organization more energy efficient. These are just a sampling of the volunteer efforts and causes which Mike has been involved.

Mike is a graduate of The University of Rhode Island with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies as well as an Associate Degree in Business Management from The Community College of Rhode Island. He holds National and State financial Mortgage and Insurance Licensing in both Rhode Island and Connecticut.

Alicia is a licensed insurance agent with The Urgo Agency. She began her career in Massachusetts working for MapFre specializing in personal insurance lines. Since joining our agency in 2017 she has graduated Farmers University and is well versed in not only personal lines but also our commercial offerings. About Lynn Belanger

Lynn joined the Urgo Agency in 2019.  Lynn resides in Mystic with her husband and two young children.  She comes to the Urgo Agency with a strong financial background, having worked in the banking industry in for 11 years before stepping out and taking time off to start and raise her family.  Lynn also comes to us with a passion for volunteering and helping her community.  She spent several years volunteering her time for The American Cancer Society Relay For Life serving on the committee and moving her way up to chairing the event.  Lynn has also served on the board of directors for St. Marks Toddler Playgroup in Mystic, CT, and currently lends what open time she has in helping at her sons school.  Lynn and her family are active parishioners at St. Patrick’s church Mystic, getting involved in various events at the church.  In her spare time Lynn enjoys spending time with her family, going on hikes, visiting the beach, and baking. Lynn is currently helping manage the operations of the office while enrolled at Farmers University to obtain her insurance license. Lynn is happy to help our customers so call her anytime.
